Any way to re-download the old version before the revamp goes live? I got a new computer and wanted to replay so I tried to download from the "My purchases" page, but it says that I pre-ordered the game and I'll be notified when it's available.
And BTW, Gideon Freaking Emery? Since when does he voices indie VNs?
Gideon has always been cool with doing what others would classify as "minor" projects from what I've gathered. I've been absolutely in love with him (#nostraight because I'm sapphic as fuck ) since I first saw him in Teenwolf, and I've made it a point to always look at what projects he does. So seeing him in this made me hella excited.
I absolutely adore this game, the characters, story and yes pretty much everything that comes with it! I can't wait to play it all over again with the revamped version :D I have accumulated around 81 hours of playtime on it over the years but still every new playthrough feels as special as the first.
Seriously such a lovely experience and for everyone who hasn't got to experience it yet, do yourself a favor and get the revamp version <3
Just kidding I absolutely freaking loved it! I'm psyched for the revamp!!!!!!!! I haven't played again in a few months but I can't wait to go through ALL THE ROUTES again because every character is awesome (August you're still my fave).
Regarding the price, which seems to be an issue for a few people, it's reasonable enough given all the work that's been put into the game. If you really wanted to get both the itch and steam version, save for it again and don't be a jerk.

Guys, sorry for bringing it, but why I cannot download any of the DLCs though I bought the game (even twice lol, the game itself and within a BLM bundle)? I take it I don't have to pay again to play the main game, but what about DLCs?

A few months ago, you guys said that the prince of 5 USD won't change. That it won't go up. I was saving what little I could afford to be able to buy this game when it releases on Steam. Now I see I won't be able to. 1 USD = 14.66 in my currency. Its way expensive and I truly regret not being able to purchase it.

I thought the same so I bought it at the $5 price thinking I wouldn't have to pay again for the re-vamp. If I had known I would have to pay again I would have waited instead. It would be nice if Lunaris Games allowed all those who have downloaded it earlier to make up the $12 by adding on the $7 to the $5 spent seeing as it did state the price would not change. I do agree that it should cost a bit more for the revamp since they put in the hard work however I would rather not have to spend an additional $12, especially since we were all under the assumption it wouldn't change from $5 :(
If you paid $5 you don't have to pay again. It'll come as an update, they explained it in their post.
Also, they're an indie studio so while $12.99 may seem like a lot, they could have raised it much higher. Especially considering how much they're adding to the game.
It doesn't matter. They gave their word that the price would not go up. Why tell people that it wouldn't go up and then raise it so significantly? Also, I'm not sure if you are able to afford buying a game twice but I can't, I was planning on buying it on Steam when it released there but now since the price has almost tripled, I won't be able to.
I am disappointed to the level of not buying the game at all, and not just because I won't be able to afford it.
I'll just keep playing the version I have, the old free one.

These things cost a lot of money, and the new price of the game is still significantly lower than what a lot of games with this content would charge. We have to create a sustainable product to ensure we can give our staff pay increases and continue to make content. Unfortunately, I can't afford to buy it on itch AND on steam. Maybe if my situation improves, I'll be able to eventually buy a copy on steam, but as of right now, I'm unable to.
I don't think an extra 7 dollars is THAT considerable. To be honest, I play a shit ton of otomes. I can tell you for a fact that they could have easily charged $60 plus dollars for this and I would have happily paid because of Gideon Emery ALONE. And I would not have been sour about that price after paying. what you need to realize is that the people who made this VN need to earn money from their work, or they can't keep doing it. And with big name voice actors like Gideon Emery, there is an increase in cost to the project. We are LUCKY that this gem is only $12. So since that extra $7 is about the price of a fast food meal, I think you should be fine. Purchase the game, play it, then see if you still want to complain. Free is nice, but artists gotta eat to you know.

I tried the demo because I was bored, and just a moment later I was buying the game ;; I do not regret doing so, I loved the art, music, plot, everything! It was super entertaining. I obviously went for Alkar first because I'm a sucker for tsundere characters lol
Absolutely in love with this game, finished it last night and cannot stop thinking about it. I love the story, we are a badass hunter! And the romances (Omen and Alkar are the loves of my life) AND the art style is perfect. I will buy again when it comes out on steam, no thought about it. Thank you for this fantastic game, and i do wonder.... would there maybe be a sequel to this game? or spin off? i would def play that immediately.

I'm sorry if you've answered this already but, how tall are they? I feel like they're all tall or average height but looking at them standing together in the festival makes me feel like I'd be an ant compared to them lol

I scrolled below and found someone who seemed to agree the romance could feel a bit fast. I had also thought that, though I chalked it up to the nature of these games and sacrificing some realism for... I don't know, fan enjoyment? Though I also saw that apparently WTNC is getting a revamp (what???!) and that'll be addressed, so I'm actually really happy to see that. I'm really curious to see what changes will be implemented. We’re recording with our voice actors in February which is one of our final steps in finishing the ReVamp, so we’re aiming for it to be out on itch and Steam sometime during Spring!
Searched online and found other people had the same problem and it was due to me using the Itch sandbox so if anyone else has the same problem check that your sandbox option is unticked in your preferences!

Hello, love the game! I was wondering if there's any way do reset the skip feature of the game? I've tried deleting the saves and deleting the whole game and re-stalling but the skip button still wont reset.

Do you mean that you'd like to remove the ability to skip scenes already played? If so, Ren'py hard-saves your save files to your C: drive. To fully wipe your saves from your system you need to navigate to: C:\Users\*YOURNAME*\AppData\Roaming\RenPy and delete the When The Night Comes folder. This should give you a totally clean, new game with no saves, no CGs etc.
Bruh not me accidentally deleting the free version of the full game before it had to be paid for and now I have to pay for it but I don't own a card and I have to ask my dad for it but it's midnight and he's trying to sleep and Christmas isn't until a couple of days and you put the festival out for free and AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH PAAAIIIINNNNNN I JUST WANNA ROMANCE MY BOYS EZRA AND FINN AGAIN THEY GAVE ME LIIIFFFFEEEEEE but I must have patience.
I was able to afford this game along with other amazing games through the bundle, which was an amazing thing btw. I am completely immersed with it right now and I cannot believe we get to have the revamped version too? I just- wow thank you!

During my first playthrough when I met the General, I already knew that August would be the love of my life. They make me love them more each chapter, all are written well. Their magic???????????????? out of this world. They look so wonderful! (Kudos to the artists!) August's route is still my most favorite, I just love them so much.
The next route I wanted to try was with Finn. But I could never get myself to separate him from Ezra! They're just so perfect together for me, and their bond is admirable. (edit: August had a date on this route, so that hurt a little idk why). The latest I've played is with Alkar and Omen. It was as chaotic as I expected, i love it! Seriously how could one separate them??? And lastly, even though I did not romance Piper, her character is the coolest omfg we'd be bestfriends in real life.
So what I wanted to say was thank you so much for this game and the lovely characters and stories you've shared to us!
Thanks for playing! Rest assured that those who also have poly romances are just find if you romance them individually. We’re all about avoiding harmful jealousy or love triangle tropes! Same goes for our characters finding happiness in routes where they aren’t romanced 💕
We are commenting to inquire after the large game revamp/update that has peen pending for this game. We are planning a Let's Play on our YouTube channel and we were hoping to use the updated version of the story when we start. It seems as though the date for the update release has changed several times but since we don't know which of your platforms to follow for announcements on changes we feel a little lost.
It's December 2020 and the last time we read about the update it said it would be this month but now the only info we can find says early 2021. We are wondering if we missed something in your announcements or if we are just slowly losing our minds. Lol. Would you mind elaborating on the update and timeline?

I've known about this game since it was free but I could never bring myself to download it without paying. I wanted to give my support so I've waited until I had the money to purchase it. Worth every penny! I only wish I could give more. It has brightened my entire year! The art and story are beautiful, I knew it would be amazing but I'm so blown away! Right, so I played this way before it cost anything and damn. I'm actually so happy that it costs now! This game was what got me into vis novel games - it's just so damn good!! When I had finished the game the first run (Fizra route) all I wanted was more, I couldn't find anything that compared for a long long long while, and even then - I've never gotten so attached to so many 2D characters outside of my favorite animes'. Anyways, I'm so happy and proud of the creators! Even if it means I'll have to restart, I'm so definitely going to buy the new version ^u^
I've finished my first run, and it was phenomenal. I played the Finzra route, and I'm really exited to play through August's. I do love that choosing a route doesn't isolate you from the other characters, and you still get to form friendships with them. The story was, well, captivating. My only complaint would be the pacing (which isn't much of an issue outside of the romances.) If playing through a romance, it can seem a little fast paced. I don't think it's a big issue though, as the story is strong enough on it's own. (Fixing it could be as simple as making time skips a little more clear, and adding more of them.)
I don't want to end on a negative though, because that would do this game a disservice. So instead, I'm going to end by saying that I adore Finn's clan and I do hope to see more of them in the re-release.

Finished my first playthrough yesterday and I'm just blown away by the quality of writing in this VN. You all have really created something so, so special. Finn's romance was beautiful and enchanting, I loved getting to know all of the other characters, I'm so excited for the re-release coming later!! Now to try and pry myself away from my vampire for the other routes...
Started playing this game a few weeks ago. I am completely and utterly addicted. I could play this over and over again through all the routes for eternity Im pretty certain. The art is stunning, the story line is most excellent and the romance routes are jsut... PERFECT.
Yall have done a fantastic job and I cannot wait for the revamped version and anything else that comes in the future!

Hi! I've finished the main game and mini stories and I just wanna say how gorgeously written this game is! I loved every bit of the story and romance (bless you for Finn btw). I was worried about spending money on a VN, as I've been disappointed before, but this game was well worth the price. I've just finished the second mini story and I might cry, it was so beautiful. Also, the soundtrack really pulled me into the atmosphere, it fit the vibe really well. <3
Im only a few hours in and very sad I can't kiss Harry LOL I love his design. I mean everyone's design is fantastic but Im lovin that coat. At least I still have Piper and August <3
I just finished plaything through the entirety of WTNC and what a wonderfully put together experience that was. I went in blind expecting good from this game and was very pleased by the time I reached the end of all the routes. The art is beautiful which is what drew me to purchase it from the start! The characters were unique in their own sense from each other, No two being too overly similar to the other. And Being non-binary and someone who uses neutral its always a fresh breath of air seeing options for pronouns, and really good writing to accompany them throughout scenes of the game. ( cause sometimes it feels a bit forced but it felt so natural and wonderful throughout ) I've been playing VN's for ages so its always pleasing.
Characters, general plot, and the overall themes for the game made it a very pleasing experience. I think the only thing that made finishing it all up a bit hard would be the repetition of playing through everything since it does have a linear plot. But overall still couldn't pull myself away from it! I can't wait to play the other projects from you guys in the future :D

I tend to play through games like this very slowly, and haven't started WTNC yet. It'd probably take me a month or two to play through. Considering the re-release appears to be slated for Q4 2020, would you recommend I just go ahead and start it now (presumably due to an as-yet-unannounced pushback on the release date) or just wait for the re-release?
We're adding voice acting to the game so the re-release will likely be Q1 2021 now, so it's really up to you! If you play slowly then maybe waiting for everything to be shiny and new might be a good shout ;3
With approximately fifteen trillion games from the justice bundle still unplayed, I will await the rerelease -- with voice acting -- patiently, yet eagerly.
I've just bought the game a day ago and I've (surprisingly) finish all of the routes.... They were all amazing!!!
I always went into VN games saving who I believe to be my type character (Finn) route last or who I think i would love as a friend but not as a romance last (Omen).............. OoO....... I was completely taken back by how much I love Omen route and his past & personalities that where slowly revealed throughout the playthrough...... At the same time, the game and minitwo ending for Omen brings me to literal tears!!!!
I'm almost done with the main game (playing August/Finnzra routes), and I have no words to say how lovely this story and game is! It's beautifully crafted and I want to thank all of you for the hard work this must have been! I'm a perv so I will always appreciate more ~naughtiness but this is such a high quality game, my wishful thinking is just a silly note. <3
QUESTION THOUGH! How many endings are there?? I assume at least 8? I envision myself playing this several more times but I want to get to EK and the side stories ahhhhhh

Is the old version permanently taken down, or will it become available again once the new is released? What about the DLCs?
I bought the game just a few days before it was taken down, and didn't get around to downloading/installing the DLCs before they were gone...
Like most fans I'm definitely exited for the ReVamp, but I also love the old version and will be sad to see it erased completely.

We are commenting to inquire after the large game revamp/update that has peen pending for this game. We are planning a Let's Play on our YouTube channel and we were hoping to use the updated version of the story when we start. It seems as though the date for the update release has changed several times but since we don't know which of your platforms to follow for announcements on changes we feel a little lost.
It's December 2020 and the last time we read about the update it said it would be this month but now the only info we can find says early 2021. We are wondering if we missed something in your announcements or if we are just slowly losing our minds. Lol. Would you mind elaborating on the update and timeline?

I've known about this game since it was free but I could never bring myself to download it without paying. I wanted to give my support so I've waited until I had the money to purchase it. Worth every penny! I only wish I could give more. It has brightened my entire year! The art and story are beautiful, I knew it would be amazing but I'm so blown away! I adore it so much, I cant wait to see the revamp and any possible additions later on. Thank you for such a wonderful piece of art!❤

Right, so I played this way before it cost anything and damn. I'm actually so happy that it costs now! This game was what got me into vis novel games - it's just so damn good!! When I had finished the game the first run (Fizra route) all I wanted was more, I couldn't find anything that compared for a long long long while, and even then - I've never gotten so attached to so many 2D characters outside of my favorite animes'. Anyways, I'm so happy and proud of the creators! Even if it means I'll have to restart, I'm so definitely going to buy the new version ^u^

I couldn't agree more! Even if we would only have the August route I would still buy the game just for them.
I've finished my first run, and it was phenomenal. I played the Finzra route, and I'm really exited to play through August's. I do love that choosing a route doesn't isolate you from the other characters, and you still get to form friendships with them. The story was, well, captivating. My only complaint would be the pacing (which isn't much of an issue outside of the romances.) If playing through a romance, it can seem a little fast paced. I don't think it's a big issue though, as the story is strong enough on it's own. (Fixing it could be as simple as making time skips a little more clear, and adding more of them.)
I don't want to end on a negative though, because that would do this game a disservice. So instead, I'm going to end by saying that I adore Finn's clan and I do hope to see more of them in the re-release.

We are making some changes to the pacing in our revamp (due next year) because the game was originally released episodically on a monthly basis, so we will definitely be amending those breaks/beats so it flows better as a complete game :)
Finished my first playthrough yesterday and I'm just blown away by the quality of writing in this VN. You all have really created something so, so special. Finn's romance was beautiful and enchanting, I loved getting to know all of the other characters, I'm so excited for the re-release coming later!!
Now to try and pry myself away from my vampire for the other routes...

Started playing this game a few weeks ago. I am completely and utterly addicted. I could play this over and over again through all the routes for eternity Im pretty certain. The art is stunning, the story line is most excellent and the romance routes are jsut... PERFECT.
Yall have done a fantastic job and I cannot wait for the revamped version and anything else that comes in the future!

Hi, I really love the music at the start/menu when you open the game gives me chills and sometimes I just end up listening to it instead of playing ! Is the soundtrack on Spotify or soundcloud or something ?? I'd love to listen to it on my phone lol
We use royalty free music so unfortunately we don't have a soundtrack available but you can find the theme here!

Hi! I've finished the main game and mini stories and I just wanna say how gorgeously written this game is! I loved every bit of the story and romance (bless you for Finn btw). I was worried about spending money on a VN, as I've been disappointed before, but this game was well worth the price. I've just finished the second mini story and I might cry, it was so beautiful. Also, the soundtrack really pulled me into the atmosphere, it fit the vibe really well. <3
Im only a few hours in and very sad I can't kiss Harry LOL I love his design. I mean everyone's design is fantastic but Im lovin that coat. At least I still have Piper and August <3

I just finished plaything through the entirety of WTNC and what a wonderfully put together experience that was. I went in blind expecting good from this game and was very pleased by the time I reached the end of all the routes. The art is beautiful which is what drew me to purchase it from the start! The characters were unique in their own sense from each other, No two being too overly similar to the other. And Being non-binary and someone who uses neutral its always a fresh breath of air seeing options for pronouns, and really good writing to accompany them throughout scenes of the game. ( cause sometimes it feels a bit forced but it felt so natural and wonderful throughout ) I've been playing VN's for ages so its always pleasing.
Characters, general plot, and the overall themes for the game made it a very pleasing experience. I think the only thing that made finishing it all up a bit hard would be the repetition of playing through everything since it does have a linear plot. But overall still couldn't pull myself away from it! I can't wait to play the other projects from you guys in the future :D

I tend to play through games like this very slowly, and haven't started WTNC yet. It'd probably take me a month or two to play through. Considering the re-release appears to be slated for Q4 2020, would you recommend I just go ahead and start it now (presumably due to an as-yet-unannounced pushback on the release date) or just wait for the re-release?
We're adding voice acting to the game so the re-release will likely be Q1 2021 now, so it's really up to you! If you play slowly then maybe waiting for everything to be shiny and new might be a good shout ;3
With approximately fifteen trillion games from the justice bundle still unplayed, I will await the rerelease -- with voice acting -- patiently, yet eagerly.

I've just bought the game a day ago and I've (surprisingly) finish all of the routes.... They were all amazing!!!
I always went into VN games saving who I believe to be my type character (Finn) route last or who I think i would love as a friend but not as a romance last (Omen).............. OoO....... I was completely taken back by how much I love Omen route and his past & personalities that where slowly revealed throughout the playthrough...... At the same time, the game and minitwo ending for Omen brings me to literal tears!!!!

It's beautifully crafted and I want to thank all of you for the hard work this must have been!
