Release Update: The Good and The Bad(ish...)

Hello everyone! We have some news with regards to the release of Call Me Under. As the title of this update says, we have both good and bad news, but the bad news isn't ALL that bad, in our opinion, because while we are officially delaying the release of the game, we're doing it for all the right reasons.

This is our first non-episodic release, and we've definitely learned along the way that it's an incredibly different process of creation to our episodic games like WTNC. Call Me Under is a big game and it's only getting bigger as we work on it, and for it to be the epic, powerful, meaningful story that we really want it to be, we simply need more time. On top of that, of course, we've been working in a world where everything feels significantly more difficult thanks to the pandemic. To say that hasn't affected us both personally and professionally would be a huge lie. At Lunaris Games, the mental health and general wellbeing of our team is our number one priority and always has been, and always will be, so this delay is actively helping us lookout for ourselves AND is giving us more time to make this the best possible game it can be.  Another very good thing is that, with the success of the recent release of the When The Night Comes ReVamp, we've been able to pour more money into Call Me Under, including increasing the pay of our developers.

With that said, we're currently tentatively aiming for a mid-2022 release, and we're also working really hard on potentially getting Call Me Under on more platforms that we should be able to talk about a bit more towards the end of this year.  We've been kind of dreading posting this announcement, as I'm sure a lot of you can imagine and possibly relate to, and we can't thank you enough for your patience and what we hope to be your continued support in cheering us on as we continue production.

If you're a Kickstarter backer you will be able to see our full progress update over on our page there.

We cannot thank you enough for your support, and we'll continue to keep you well informed as we work hard to get CMU in your hands.
